Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how Drift (“the App”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) handles information when you use our Android puzzle game. By installing or using Drift, you agree to this policy.
Short summary: Drift does not require an account. Game progress is stored on your device. The App shows ads through Google AdMob, which may collect device and usage data according to Google’s policies.
1. Who we are
Drift is a single-player path-drawing puzzle game for Android. If you have questions about this policy, contact us at:
2. Information we collect
Drift is designed to minimize data collection.
2.1 Information stored on your device
The App stores the following locally on your device (for example via on-device preferences). This data is not uploaded to our servers—we do not operate a Drift account or cloud save backend:
- Level unlock and completion status
- Best solve times for completed levels
- Theme preference (light or dark mode)
You can clear this information by using the in-app Reset progress option (where available) or by clearing the App’s data in Android system settings / uninstalling the App.
2.2 Information we do not collect ourselves
- No account registration, email, or password
- No name, phone number, or postal address
- No precise location collected by Drift directly
- No access to your contacts, photos, or microphone
- No sale of personal information by us
3. Advertising
Drift displays advertisements, including rewarded ads (for example for hints, extra undos, skip, or continue) and interstitial ads after level completion or skip, using Google Mobile Ads (AdMob).
Google and its partners may collect and process information such as:
- Advertising ID / device identifiers
- IP address and general location derived from it
- Device type, OS version, and app version
- Ad interaction events (impressions, clicks, rewards)
This processing is governed by Google’s policies. Please review:
You may be able to reset or limit your advertising ID in Android settings (commonly under Privacy / Google / Ads), subject to your device and OS version.
4. Network features and third-party SDKs
In addition to AdMob, the App may use:
- Google Fonts — to load display fonts. This may involve a network request to Google’s servers when fonts are fetched. See Google’s Privacy Policy .
Third-party SDKs are operated by their respective providers. We do not control how those providers use data once it is collected under their terms.
5. How we use information
Local on-device data is used only to:
- Remember your game progress and preferences
- Provide gameplay features (levels, best times, theme)
Advertising-related data processed by Google is used to show, measure, and improve ads, including rewarded ad experiences in the App.
6. Data sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We do not operate a Drift cloud backend that receives your progress. Advertising and font providers may receive device/network data as described above when those services are used.
7. Data retention
- On-device game data remains on your device until you reset progress, clear app data, or uninstall Drift.
- Ad-related data is retained by Google / advertising partners according to their own retention policies.
8. Children’s privacy
Drift is a general-audience puzzle game. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction) through a Drift-operated account system—because we do not offer accounts.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child has provided personal information to us directly, contact us and we will take appropriate steps. Please also review Google’s policies regarding ads and families if the App is used by children.
9. Security
We take reasonable steps appropriate to an offline-first mobile game. No method of electronic storage is 100% secure. You are responsible for physical access to your device.
10. International users
If you use Drift from outside the country where Google’s advertising infrastructure operates, your information may be processed in other countries as described in Google’s Privacy Policy.
11. Your choices
- Reset in-app progress via Settings (where available)
- Clear app storage or uninstall Drift in Android settings
- Limit ad personalization via your device’s advertising settings
- Contact us with privacy requests using the email above
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of Drift after an update means you accept the revised policy.
